CPR Training at San Clemente High

by | Jun 21, 2019

CPR Chicks had the pleasure of assisting with CPR training at San Clemente High School just a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning. The above picture shows a few of the amazing participants. This class included not only local students, but concerned grandparents, prospective baby sitters, teachers, health care workers, and people who wanted to be part of the elite 20% of our population who actually know CPR. This figure is compellingly low when the facts support that CPR can increase survival by 2 – 3 times and skyrockets when an AED is utilized.

Feeling Helpless is a horrible reality when someone desperately needs your assistance and you have no idea what to do. CPR is NOT difficult. AED’s are designed so that a 4th grader can easily utilize them properly.

Just last April of this year, 2 teens learned CPR life-saving skills at their high school in Kansas. Their father had a cardiac event at home and his children immediately took control, called 911 and started compressions. They knew that for every minute lost between a heart attack and administering CPR, chance of survival decreases 10%. Check out their amazing story on the attached video.
